Conveyor Belt Sushi Restaurant in Passy, Paris 16th

Welcome to Matsuri Passy, your kaiten Japanese restaurant in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. In the heart of the Passy district, our chefs prepare a refined selection of sushi, maki and exclusive creations before your eyes, using the best fresh produce.

The room and the terrace at Matsuri Passy

The pale yellow frontage takes up the ground floor of a building with shutters, the Matsuri sign in white letters and The Original Sushi Bar on the fascia. In front, a small terrace closed off by a white barrier and planters looks onto the cobbled street, and the Matsu Café window next door announces ice cream, pastries, latte and mochi. Inside, walls and ceiling are clad in pale wood slats, punctuated by a framed katakana poster. Cylindrical pendants graded orange and yellow light the long conveyor belt, which winds between rows of metal chairs with orange seats and tables set against the wall. In a nook papered with Japanese magazine covers sit two Matsu Gamers cabinets and their chrome stools.

The kaiten principle is simple and fun: at Matsuri Passy, freshly made plates travel past on a conveyor belt and you help yourself to whatever takes your fancy as the meal goes on. Each plate colour corresponds to a price (from €3.50 to €9.00 in France). There are three set menus: the Lunch Menu (3 plates + miso soup + bowl of rice), the Evening Menu (5 plates + miso soup + bowl of rice) and the Kids Menu (2 plates + bowl of rice + a gift).

Beyond the Lunch and Evening menus, Matsuri Passy offers the Black Tuesday Box (42 pieces at a special price on Tuesdays) and Kanpaï Thursday (cocktails at €4 on Thursday evenings). Seasonal offers are added regularly: our news announces them.
