In the heart of the Centre Commercial Barneoud in Les Pennes-Mirabeau, Matsuri is bringing its kaiten concept to the largest retail park in France. Between Marseille and Aix-en-Provence, our Japanese restaurant at Plan de Campagne offers an experience unique in the region: plates of sushi, maki, sashimi and signature creations passing by continuously on a conveyor belt, within arm's reach. You freely choose whatever appeals to you, at the pace that suits you, with no menu and no waiter to wait for.

Every weekend, Plan de Campagne draws thousands of visitors from Marseille, Aix, Vitrolles and Marignane. After a few hours in the shops of the retail park, our sushi bar is the perfect place to recharge. The kaiten format is designed for every situation: a quick solo lunch, a family meal where everyone builds their own menu, or a dinner with friends around the belt. Children love watching the plates go by, and parents appreciate the freshness of produce prepared before their eyes.

What to try at Matsuri Plan de Campagne?

Our menu features all the Matsuri essentials: salmon and tuna sushi and nigiri, California rolls, Dragon rolls, nori tacos, handrolls, crispy gyoza, steaming ramen and Japanese desserts. Plates are colour-coded by price, which keeps the bill transparent from the start of the meal to the end. Vegetarian and vegan options are available throughout the menu.

What the room at Matsuri Plan de Campagne looks like

The white welcome counter, signed in illuminated letters The Original Sushi Bar, opens onto a widely glazed room with the Matsu Café, its pastry display and its espresso machine. Above the belt, a large yellow M stands out from a wall of vertical slats, and draped white and pink voiles soften the light. Cylindrical pendants in yellow, coral and blue hang over the conveyor belt, which is doubled by a second level with the chefs working in full view behind it, stacks of plates within reach. The metal chairs alternate pink, cream and pale blue seats. A stretch of wall papered with vintage Japanese posters runs alongside two arcade cabinets and their chrome stools; shelves display vinyl records, kokeshi, geta and stoneware bottles.
