Welcome to Matsuri Marseille, your kaiten sushi bar in France's Mediterranean city. On rue Paradis, in the 6th arrondissement, our chefs prepare a selection of sushi, maki and Japanese specialities made with fresh fish before your eyes, in a warm, contemporary atmosphere.
Under the coloured glass roof of Matsuri on rue Paradis
Everything here starts at the ceiling: a vast roof of coloured glass blocks, yellow, orange, blue and pink, lights the room like a stained-glass window and continues into radiating wooden slats picked out by linear neons. The kaiten counters follow one another in tiers, with backrests and pale wood lockers, facing the open kitchen clad in yellow tiles. A mirrored pillar carries the katakana for original sushi bar in pink neon. Set apart, a gaming room, signed in pink letters, lines up three beige arcade cabinets on a wooden shelf, with stainless steel stools. The frontage, wide open to the street, is marked by its illuminated sign on a wooden panel.

Sushi, maki, California rolls, Dragon rolls, chirashi, sashimi, tataki, skewers, gyoza, spring rolls, sashizza, onigiri: the Matsuri Marseille menu covers the essentials of Japanese cuisine, right through to the desserts (mochi, daifuku, cheesecake). It evolves every season with new creations.
The kaiten principle is simple and fun: at Matsuri Marseille, freshly made plates travel past on a conveyor belt and you help yourself to whatever takes your fancy as the meal goes on. Each plate colour corresponds to a price (from €3.50 to €9.00 in France). There are three set menus: the Lunch Menu (3 plates + miso soup + bowl of rice), the Evening Menu (5 plates + miso soup + bowl of rice) and the Kids Menu (2 plates + bowl of rice + a gift).
