Welcome to Matsuri Presqu'île, your kaiten sushi bar right in the centre of Lyon. Between the Rhône and the Saône, enjoy an authentic Japanese dining experience where sushi, rolls and specialities go by before your eyes in an elegant, contemporary setting.
Under the stone vaults of Matsuri Presqu'île
The room sits beneath vaults and dressed stone arches left exposed, with a raw ceiling and massive pillars inherited from the building. A line of cylindrical pendants in amber and orange runs in front of the arches and warms the stone. The conveyor belt runs along a wall of vertical slats set on a black background, lined for its whole length with chairs with wooden slatted backs. At the entrance, an arch sheathed in mirrored metal frames the welcome counter and its backlit blue logo, while pink Japanese characters are applied to the glass. Through the windows you can see the carved stone and gothic stained glass of the église Saint-Nizier, right next door. Shelves display stoneware sake bottles, kokeshi and posters.
