The restaurant fills a vast open space, with the services ceiling left exposed and full-height windows looking onto the district. Long kaiten counters set the layout: pale yellow worktops, chrome chairs with blue-grey seats, matching round stools, chopstick pots and bottles of sweet or salted soy sauce within reach. Behind them the kitchen stays in view, stacked plates included. The decor comes above all from one wall and a pillar entirely papered with small pink and orange Japanese posters, beneath suspended light boxes that echo the look of izakaya alleyways. A shelf displays kokeshi dolls and a few volumes of Akira in front of the window.

The Matsuri Luxembourg menu ranges from sushi and maki to California rolls and Dragon rolls, by way of chirashi, sashimi, tataki, skewers, gyoza, spring rolls, sashizza and onigiri, and finishes on Japanese desserts (mochi, daifuku, cheesecake). New creations arrive every season.
At Matsuri, the kaiten principle is simple and fun: freshly made plates travel past continuously on a conveyor belt and you freely choose whatever takes your fancy as the meal goes on. Each plate colour corresponds to a price, displayed in the restaurant. Set menus are available: the Lunch Menu, the Evening Menu and the Kids Menu.
